Meet Uniqcorn Exceptionnel Team Rider Adriane Alvord. Adriane is a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold medalist, as well as a USDF Diamond Achievement Award recipient, and has dedicated her life to developing both horse and rider to their full potential.
Adriane is based in Millwood, Virginia, and has been running her business successfully for the past 12 years, helping numerous clients earn their USDF medals and achieve far more than they imagined possible for both themselves and their horses.
Adriane has many competitive achievements under her belt up through Grand Prix with a multitude of horses. In 2023 she debuted her horse Selfmade in the Grand Prix , a horse she has carefully developed herself up the levels over the past 4 years. Selfie’s first season at Grand Prix ,he finished 3rd in the Mid Atlantic Dressage Festival 3* Grand Prix Freestyle, 3rd in the 2* Grand Prix Dressage at the Park, 10th at Dressage at Devon in the Grand Prix World Cup Qualifier and CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle, and most recently she was Reserve Champion in the Open Grand Prix GAIG Region One Championships, and placed 6th nationally in the Open Grand Prix Freestyle Finals in Kentucky.
Adriane is looking forward to building on their momentum in 2023, and will be spending some time in Wellington, Florida this winter training with their Coach George Williams, as well as competing at Global for the first time.
Adriane enjoys training and bringing along horses that most people would label as dangerous, unrideable, or not cut out for the sport. Many of her top horses came from challenging pasts, and she prides herself in giving these horses the time and understanding to come into their own so they can eventually show what they were truly capable of all along.
Outside of the Dressage arena, Adriane enjoys playing polo competitively, is a 4 X American Ninja Warrior Competitor, and former ultra distance obstacle course racer, having finished 5th in the world after running over 80 miles and completing 300+ obstacles in 2018. She enjoys living life to the fullest and proving there are no limits in life if you’re willing to put in the work.
